The Role
As a People Advisor, you’ll be a trusted partner and advisor to managers and employees across our Eastern region. Working from the UAE, you’ll provide operational HR support, helping to shape a culture where people can thrive; all while ensuring compliance with local legislation and aligning with Praxis’ global standards. You will work closely with the Group Head of People Business Partnering and the wider HR / People team, helping deliver initiatives and HR excellence across jurisdictions.
What You’ll Do
People Partnering & Advisory
- Be the go-to point of contact for managers and employees across the Eastern region, giving well-grounded, pragmatic advice on HR / People matters.
- Support the Group Head of People Business Partnering in delivering HR programmes, projects, and daily advisory tasks across jurisdictions.
- Offer guidance on employee relations; conduct, performance issues, attendance, grievances, capability. Always ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Partner with managers to build strong employee relations and open communication.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with recruitment across the region: drafting job descriptions, obtaining approvals, coordinating interviews, and managing offers.
- Prepare employment contracts and offers aligned to UAE labour law and Praxis policies.
- Ensure new hires are smoothly onboarded: visa/work permit processing, documentation, induction, and alignment to Praxis’ values.
Policy, Compliance & Process
- Help review and implement HR policies and processes, ensuring consistent compliance with local employment, immigration, and data protection laws.
- Work with the wider group People team on HR projects, process improvements, and policy harmonisation across regions.
- Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations in the UAE and across the Eastern region, ensuring our practices remain compliant.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR or People advisory role.
- Proven track record advising managers on recruitment, employee relations, performance and HR operations.
- Experience working in partnership with managers and collaborating within a wider HR / People team.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, including ability to build relationships across jurisdictions.
- Good working knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, plus ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with care.
Desirable
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
- Experience in financial / professional services environments.
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional or group / matrixed organisations.
