Our central services team provides centralised support to the Group. Job summary:
This role is responsible for providing support to the Central Finance department with a focus on accounting and financial reporting. The Accounting assistant will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintain the general ledger and assist with the periodic financial reporting requirements within the Group.
Job accountabilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Oversee data input of bookkeepers within the PGL Group.
- Assist with the implementation of the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, document reconciliations management accounts and financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, including Profit and Loss (P & L) account & balance sheets.
- Provide support for the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting.
- Assist with compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls.
- Assist in the coordination of audits and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to provide financial expertise and support.
Minimum education and experience
Minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant experience.
Required skills
- Experience of analytical and problem-solving.
- Good communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to build morale and team spirit and act as an ambassador of the Group’s values.
