Job summary:
The individual will be responsible for leading and developing a team focused on servicing an existing client base, including the establishment and administration of structures used by individuals and families for the purposes of succession planning, asset protection and investment purposes, within the Private Wealth division based in the UAE.
Reporting directly to the Senior Executive Officer (“SEO”), the individual will assist the SEO to win new business opportunities through the drafting of fee proposals and where appropriate, attending client and intermediary meetings to develop key relationships. Relevant structures are likely to include Trusts, Companies and Foundations, both onshore and offshore and the individual will use their knowledge and experience to efficiently onboard new clients quickly and efficiently whilst also providing their support in developing, mentoring and coaching the existing administration team members.
Job accountabilities:
- Day to day responsibility for maintenance of existing portfolio of clients.
- Ensuring that all procedures manuals, relevant laws, guidelines, regulations and codes of practice are followed in all aspects of the role. i.e. client and non-client related.
- Liaising with clients and intermediaries both by telephone and in writing.
- Attending client and intermediary meetings.
- Building relationships with the clients and providing support in the absence of the relevant relationship principal.
- Assisting junior employees with queries/problems being encountered and assisting in the resolution thereof.
- Providing cover for other members of the team and administration department managers in times of absence.
- Identifying efficiencies and implementing the necessary measures.
- Act as an Authorised Signatory on both client entities and Praxis internal entities.
Minimum education and experience
- Educated to ‘A’ Level standard
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience of Trust & Company Services
- A relevant professional qualification i.e. STEP Diploma/ICSA Diploma or equivalent
Required skills
- Good standard of business writing and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrated ability of managing and being responsible for a portfolio of clients and administration team, including prioritisation of work load and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to impart knowledge to others, including clients, clients’ advisors and professional intermediaries.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain client relationships in accordance with KPIs and Praxis standards.
- Assisting with the recruitment and training of junior staff and supporting personal development.
- Compliance checking
- Demonstrated knowledge of legal and regulatory framework operating in ADGM, DIFC and other territories, including anti-money laundering provisions and relevant fiduciary laws etc.
- Technical competence in relation to all Fiduciary matters including Trusts, Companies and Foundations.
- Excellent critical analysis and problem-solving skills, ability to convey these to the team to improve standard of work and levels of efficiency.
- Ability to work to obtain an overview of a situation promptly and ascertain potential problem areas and solutions thereon.
- Prior experience of either working in the Middle East or having worked with clients from or resident in the Middle East isn’t necessary, but desirable.
